12 Hollywood Flats Stars Homes' Walk Beverly Hills 5K or 11K (easy) This walk goes through the “Hollywood Flats” neighborhood of Beverly Hills and passes the homes of over 40 Hollywood stars such as Walter Matthau, Kirk Douglas, Boris Karloff, Gene Hackman, Dean Martin and many more.  The walk also visits Rodeo Dr and two historical Beverly Hills hotels. 13 Hollywood Hills Stars Homes' Walk Beverly Hills 10K (moderate-hard) This walk wanders through the residential (and palatial) neighborhoods of Hollywood Hills passing by 50 stars homes including Madonna, Elvis, Burt Reynolds, Priscilla Presley, Rod Stewart, Jack Lemmon and the Beckhams, to name a few. 14 Griffith Park L.A. 2 5Ks (mod-hard) or a 10K (hard) Griffith Park is a true wilderness right in the heart of L.A.  Our 10K route is comprised of two 5K loops, both of which start at the Observatory.  It's a great hike but also a Hollywood walk. The Griffith Park Observatory was featured in the film Terminator.  GET ROUTE IN OUR WALK STORE

 

15 "UCLA, Westwood & Marilyn Walk" Bel Air 5K or 10K routes (both easy) The 10K goes through UCLA, the Holmby Hills neighborhood, where you’ll pass the Playboy Mansion and a few other stars homes, and the trendy Westwood downtown with its historic theaters, shopping and dining.  The highlight is the Westwood Memorial Park cemetery where you’ll find Marilyn Monroe, Dean Martin, Brian Keith, Roy Orbison, Jack Lemmon, Natalie Wood and many others.  GET ROUTE IN OUR WALK STORE

 

16 "Hollywood's Small Town America" Whittier 5K or 10K routes (both easy) This quintessential “small town America” has been used as a backdrop in films and TV shows including Wonder Years and Back to the Future.  Our 10K route goes through downtown, Whittier College where Nixon is an alum, along a rails-to-trails and past Whittier High School where Back to the Future was filmed. Mystic, CT YRE 1508 – “Mystic Pizza” was filmed almost entirely in the village.

 

Florida:

Pensacola, FL YRE 274 -- goes along Pensacola Bay where “The Winds of War” with Robert Mitchem and “Jaws 2” were filmed, among others

Pensacola, FL YRE 345 -- "Midway" and "Wings of the Eagle" filmed at the air station and on Pensacola Bay (5K and 10K)

 

Georgia:

Savannah, GA  YRE 1366– “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” walk

Kentucky:

Henderson YRE 1602 – “A League of Her Own” filmed in a house on the route.

Maryland:

Annapolis YRE 264 – "Patriot Games" filmed at the Naval Academy

 

Missouri:

Kansas City,YRE 1089 – "Mr and Mrs Bridges" filmed at Union Station on this route

 

New York:

West Point,YRE 37 – "Hello Dolly" and "The Long Gray Line" filmed at the academy

North Carolina:

Mount Airy YRE 891 – Goes by Andy Griffith's home, star of TV and feature films including "A Face in the Crowd", 1957.

Smithfield YRE 1986 – Home and grave site of Ava Gardner

 

Oregon:

Astoria, OR YRE 475 – Goes by Astor School where “Kindergarten Cop” was filmed

Astoria, OR YRE 1055 – Goes by West Mooring Basin where “Kindergarten Cop” was filmed

Brownsville, OR YRE 1272 – Goes by sites used in “Stand By Me”

Eugene, OR YRE 413 – Goes through U of Oregon where “Animal House” was filmed

 

Pennslyvania:

Philadelphia, PA  YRE 482 – goes past steps of the art museum where “Rocky” ran up the steps

 

South Carolina:

Beaufort, SC YRE 327 – “The Big Chill” was shot in Beaufort.  Locations include Bay St in downtown and Tidalholm Mansion at 1 Laurens St in downtown.  Tidalholm also appeared in “The Great Santini”

Charleston, SC  YRE 1358 – “Cold Mountain” had scenes shot at the College of Charleston, which the walk goes through.

 

Texas:

San Antonio, TX “Riverwalk” YRE 055 – goes through the Alamo where John Wayne filmed “The Alamo”

 

Virginia:

Jamestown, VA YRE 0286 – "The New World"

Yorktown, VA YRE 0285 – "The Broken Chain"

Williamsburg, VA YRE 0287 – "The Howards of Virginia" (1940).
